Pre-Gamsat Science Revision Attendance Course

Applications for packages and attendance courses to prepare you for the 2014 AU Gamsat will be available from July onwards.

Des O’Neill’s Pre-Gamsat Science Revision Attendance Courses are held in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth over two full days (9 to 6 each day) during January and early February.

A Home Study edition of our Science Revision Course is available worldwide throughout the year.

Gamsat candidates need to know the basics of Chemistry (Physical and Organic) and of Biology, both at the level of First Year University, as well as Physics at the level of a good Year 12 or a British A-level. Candidates need to understand appropriate terms and scientific concepts and be able to apply them.

Our Science Revision Attendance Course concentrates on the major themes and the difficult concepts within Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics because a number of universities now require, as pre-requisites for entry to Medical School, second year anatomy, physiology and biochemistry and, for the majority of candidates, knowledge in these areas has been acquired recently and is up-to-date.

Nonetheless, the book that comes with the Attendance and Home Study Courses covers Gamsat-relevant areas of all of General and Human Biology, Physical and Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics. This book of over 500 pages will help you identify and study the areas of science that we consider important in your preparation for Gamsat. This book also contains 390 problems to aid your development of scientific concepts and 100 Multiple-choice Gamsat style-questions, and all 490 of which come with answers and full solutions.

Most candidates do not have time for a lengthy lecture course in science over several months; they need to learn quickly and effectively. Gamsat Preparation Courses condenses the study matter so that candidates can prepare at their own pace with all the essential material at their disposal.
